01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located in the charming town of Martinez, CA, Six Eleven Restaurant & Bar offers an inviting American bistro experience nestled inside what was once a stately Victorian mansion. This unique setting blends rustic elegance with modern comfort, where black linen tablecloths, a beautiful classic bar, and warm outdoor seating create a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere perfect for both intimate dinners and vibrant nights out.

The menu at Six Eleven is a celebration of classic American flavors elevated with thoughtful details and fresh ingredients. Start with the comforting Minestrone soup, a $9 bowl of rich, hearty goodness that warms the soul. For entrees, the lemon chicken piccata stands out—a dish bursting with vibrant lemon tartness balanced by the salty-sweet capers and diced tomatoes that elevate the tender grilled chicken breast cutlet. Pasta lovers will appreciate the perfectly al dente linguine and the Chicken Parmesan paired with spaghetti, both dishes earning high praise for their authentic and satisfying flavor profiles. For a playful twist on familiar favorites, the crispy arancini rice balls packed with bold Fontina and Parmesan cheese make for an indulgent appetizer, oozing with creamy, savory delight.

Families are well-catered to with a thoughtful kid’s menu featuring comforting choices like spaghetti, butter noodles, cheeseburger sliders with fries, and crispy chicken strips—all affordably priced between $11 and $12, ensuring a welcoming meal for younger guests.

Beyond food, Six Eleven impresses with its curated drink selection. Refresh your palate with San Pellegrino sparkling water or enjoy an expertly crafted cocktail from the talented bartenders, who frequently innovate with new concoctions. The beer selection is equally commendable, adding to the well-rounded beverage offerings.

What truly elevates the Six Eleven experience is its vibrant atmosphere. Guests frequently mention the delightful live music that fills the space with energy, perfect for pairing with an evening of great food and drinks. The outdoor deck, though cozy, is equipped with umbrellas and heaters, making it a perfect spot for people-watching or catching a live band performance under the stars.

Repeatedly praised by locals like Becca Gomez Farrell, who raves about the lemon chicken piccata’s “bursts of salt and sweetness,” and Lindsey Paulson, who finds comfort in nearly every dish she’s tried, Six Eleven Restaurant & Bar stands out not just for its menu but for its warm welcome and impeccable service. Whether you are looking for a memorable date night, a family dinner, or a lively evening with friends accompanied by live tunes, Six Eleven delivers an experience that is as flavorful as it is inviting.

Six Eleven is an American bistro in Martinez, housed in what looks like a former mansion. The lemon chicken piccata was vibrant with lemon tartness, and the grilled, tender chicken breast cutlet satisfied with bursts of salt and sweetness from the capers and diced tomatoes. The linguine had a perfect al dente bite. Fontina and parmesan are packed into the arancini rice balls, their boldness oozing out with each bite. Does creamy chipotle dip make sense to serve with them? Not authentically, but who cares when you’re eating arancini as light and fluffy as these? The braised short rib pappardelle is served with a marinara sauce, Grana Padano cheese, and parsley. The pasta and sauce were beautifully flavored and prepared. Marinara and short rib can sometimes be too rich in combination for me, but I wanted more of this dish. Six Eleven has had two “award-winning” cocktails on their specialty list when I’ve visited, though I’m unsure what award they’ve won. The Plant Mom is one, made with vodka, lemon juice, limoncello, cherry bitters, fresh mint, egg whites, and a rosemary-rose-lavender syrup. That’s a lot to pack into one drink! And the Plant Mom does so masterfully. I’d give it an award of my own for each sip of its smooth, elegant blend that hinted of herbaceous and floral flavors. On my second visit, the Pecan Sandra was an unusual choice for me to start a meal with, as it’s solidly on the dessert side of cocktails. But I wanted just one drink, and the ingredient list assured me this was one I couldn’t miss: brown butter fat-washed bourbon, lemon juice, pecan syrup, black walnut bitters, chocolate bitters, and candied pecans. It was as rich and luscious as you’d expect from those ingredients. And filling!

Food was delicious, great service, and the vibe was impeccable. A band was playing and killing it too! The outside deck is a little tight, but comfortable with the umbrellas and the heaters. Decent sight lines good watching the brand or people watching. The clam chowder was delicious as was the tortilla chip ceviche. The beer selection is nice and cocktails were on point.

The food is delicious I’ve had almost everything on the menu in the past year that they’ve been open. Two of my favorites are the chicken sandwich & the deep fried Oreo dessert. The staff are all so friendly & welcoming. The bartenders make the best cocktails & are always coming up with new yummy drinks to try. The location has an amazing outdoor patio perfect for the beautiful martinez weather along the creek. Highly remind you giving it a try.

We saw their outdoor seating overlooking the creek and figured this’d be a good dog friendly spot to eat lunch. Service was friendly but rather slow on the food. A decent tap beer list. My fish tacos were good and the tap beer cold and fresh.

Six-Eleven is a fantastic addition to the Martinez dining scene! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere and a staff that truly goes above and beyond. The food here is simply incredible. I highly recommend the Braised Short Rib Pappardelle - it’s a flavor explosion that will leave you wanting more. The Market Greens Salad with Grilled Salmon is another standout, perfectly balancing fresh greens with succulent fish. But save room for dessert! Their dessert menu is to die for. The Mixed Berry Tart is a delightful burst of fruity goodness, while the Banana Bread Pudding and Tiramisu are pure indulgence. It’s hard to choose a favorite! What really sets Six-Eleven apart is their exceptional staff. Cory, the bar manager, is a master mixologist who can whip up any drink you desire. Sarah, Andrew, Jamaica, Jewel, Clair, Clara, Lindsay, Brittany, and Matt are all incredibly friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Honestly, everyone here is fantastic and contributes to making your dining experience memorable. The restaurant offers a great ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating options, and there’s even live music on some nights. Parking is a breeze, with metered spots that are free on weekends. Six-Eleven is still relatively new, so there might be a slight wait for food during busy times, but trust me, it’s worth it. They’re constantly working on improvements, and their commitment to quality is evident in every aspect of the restaurant. Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner, a night out with friends, or a new favorite spot for great food and drinks, Six-Eleven delivers on all fronts. I can’t wait to come back and try more items from their menu!

Finally made it to this spot yesterday and it was so good! The calamari was some of the best I’ve had in a long time. I also love the cozy elegance of the restaurant and the staff there were so kind. I will definitely be going back to try out more dishes!
